Resets: What Happens If I Fail?

Evaluation resets across the standard tracks (Sapphire, Flex, Gold) and Express to Live (Ruby-X, Platinum-X): breach triggers, what a reset restarts, no reset limit, five-for-four batch, and how to purchase.

This article covers evaluation resets: what a breach is, how it fails an evaluation, and how resetting restarts it. It applies to the standard evaluation tracks (Sapphire, Flex, Gold) and, separately, to Express to Live evaluations and buffers (Ruby-X, Platinum-X). A reset restarts an evaluation at the same size with metrics cleared; it is a one-time payment, not a subscription.

What Counts as a Breach (Standard Tracks)

A breach fails that evaluation. How a breach is triggered depends on the drawdown type, which is set by track.

Track (eval)

Drawdown type

Breach trigger

Sapphire

End-of-day (EOD) trailing

Only when the CLOSING balance is below the threshold. Checked once per day at session close, never intraday.

Flex

End-of-day (EOD) trailing

Only when the CLOSING balance is below the threshold. Checked once per day at session close, never intraday.

Gold

Static floor

The moment the balance touches the floor, intraday or at close. The floor is fixed and never trails.

Note on EOD trailing (Sapphire, Flex): the threshold trails up with your highest close and LOCKS once it reaches the starting balance, after which it never moves. An intraday dip below the level is not a breach on these tracks; only the closing balance matters.

Separate breach cause (all standard tracks): 14 days with no trading breaches the evaluation. A trading day = a day with at least one trade. There is otherwise no time limit on the evaluation.

What Is a Reset?

A reset restarts your evaluation at the same account size. Your metrics clear and you begin fresh, as if starting a new evaluation.

Available on

Every standard evaluation track: Sapphire, Flex, Gold. Express to Live evaluations and buffers are also resettable (see below).

Account size after reset

Unchanged. Same size as the failed evaluation.

Metrics

Cleared. The evaluation starts fresh from the beginning.

Reset limit

None. Reset the same account as many times as needed.

Payment

One-time payment, not a subscription.

Batch offer

If you breach more than one account, reset five accounts for the price of four.

Express to Live Breaches Are Also Resettable

Express to Live (brand names Ruby-X and Platinum-X; program name always "Express to Live") is a separate program. A breach during the SIMULATED evaluation or the SIMULATED buffer closes that account and is resettable, the same way a standard evaluation breach is. Its breach triggers differ from the standard tracks.

Express track

Drawdown type

Breach trigger

Ruby-X

EOD trailing that NEVER locks at breakeven

Closing balance below the trailing threshold. Unlike standard Sapphire/Flex, the threshold never locks at the starting balance.

Platinum-X

Static floor

The moment the balance touches the floor, intraday or at close.

Express size is your drawdown / risk budget ($1,000, $1,500, $2,000, or $3,000), not a balance. A breach on the real Express LIVE account is not covered here; only the simulated evaluation and buffer are resettable. Full Express to Live detail: Express to Live (Ruby-X and Platinum-X).

Do Not Conflate: Standard vs Express to Live

Dimension

Standard tracks

Express to Live

EOD floor behavior

Sapphire/Flex EOD trailing LOCKS at the starting balance

Ruby-X EOD trailing NEVER locks at breakeven

Static floor

Gold static floor

Platinum-X static floor

Size meaning

Account balance, $25K to $200K

Drawdown / risk budget, $1,000 to $3,000

What can be reset here

Failed evaluation (Sapphire/Flex/Gold)

Breach in the simulated evaluation OR the simulated buffer

Live-capital status

Funded stage (Ruby/Flex Funded/Platinum) is SIMULATED; Diamond live is a separate coming-soon stage

Evaluation and buffer are SIMULATED; the Express LIVE account is real live capital, available now

How to Purchase a Reset

Log into your dashboard, select the failed account, and choose the reset option on the account page. This applies to both standard evaluations and Express to Live evaluations and buffers.
