Account Sizes & Specifications

Standard-track (Sapphire, Flex, Gold) account sizes and rule specs: profit targets, EOD vs static drawdown, contract limits, min trading days, commissions. Notes that Express to Live is sized by drawdown, not balance.

This article lists account sizes and rule specifications for the ONYX STANDARD tracks (Sapphire, Flex, Gold). It does not cover Express to Live, which is sized differently (by drawdown, not balance) and is documented separately; see the Express to Live section at the bottom.

Standard tracks: three evaluation tracks

There are three standard evaluation tracks. Each runs Evaluation, then Funded (simulated), then Diamond (a shared live stage, COMING SOON, not yet available). Funded stage names by track:

Track (evaluation)

Funded stage (simulated)

Drawdown type

Sizes offered

Sapphire

Ruby

End-of-day trailing

50K, 100K, 150K

Flex

Flex Funded

End-of-day trailing

25K, 50K, 100K, 150K

Gold

Platinum

Static floor

50K, 100K, 150K, 200K

All standard funded accounts (Ruby, Flex Funded, Platinum) are SIMULATED. Diamond is a separate coming-soon live stage and is NOT Express to Live. Account sizes are a starting balance (25K to 200K).

EOD tracks: Sapphire and Flex

Sapphire is offered in 50K, 100K, and 150K. Flex is offered in 25K, 50K, 100K, and 150K. Both use end-of-day trailing drawdown. Profit targets are net of commissions and fees.

One standard contract counts as 10 micro contracts toward a single pooled limit (for example, 5 standard = 50 micros = one shared cap). End-of-day drawdown updates once per day at market close, never intraday. It trails up with your highest close and LOCKS once it reaches your starting balance, then never moves; it breaches only if your CLOSING balance is below the threshold. See End-of-Day Trailing Drawdown Explained.

Optional drawdown extension at checkout (changes the EOD drawdown for that account): Sapphire 50K to $2,250; Flex 150K to $5,000. This is an optional setup choice, not a price.

Gold track: static floor

Gold is offered in 50K, 100K, 150K, and 200K (200K is Gold only). The Gold track uses a static drawdown floor that is fixed for the life of the account and never trails. It is a hard intraday level: the account breaches the moment the balance touches the floor, intraday or at close. Profit targets are net of commissions and fees.

Optional drawdown extension at checkout adds $250 to any Gold size (50K to $1,750, 100K to $2,250, 150K to $2,750, 200K to $3,250). This is an optional setup choice, not a price. When the Gold evaluation passes, the funded account is Platinum (simulated). The shared live program for all three tracks is Diamond, which is coming soon. For how the static floor differs from the EOD tracks, see What Makes ONYX Different.

Commissions

Commissions are $0.10 per contract, per side, which is $0.20 per round turn. This is the Rithmic simulated-trading rate and applies on every standard track and size. Profit targets above are already net of these commissions and fees.

Minimum trading days

Before you can pass an evaluation: Sapphire 3 trading days, Flex 5 trading days, Gold 3 trading days. A trading day is any day with at least one trade. There is no maximum time limit, but 14 days with no trading breaches an evaluation.

Daily loss limit and consistency

There is no forced daily loss limit on any standard account, in any phase. You can set your own optional personal daily loss limit (up to your drawdown, enforced via Rithmic, off by default) from the dashboard. Each track has its own consistency rule. See Daily Loss Limit (DLL) and Consistency Rule.

Multiple accounts

On the standard tracks you can hold up to 10 accounts at the same time, or up to 5 on the Gold track. Each account is purchased and passed on its own. (Express to Live is capped separately: up to 6 active, by combined drawdown of $6,000.) See Account Management.

Express to Live is sized differently (do not conflate)

Express to Live is a SEPARATE program (brand names Ruby-X and Platinum-X), LIVE NOW. It is NOT sized by account balance. Its "size" is your DRAWDOWN / risk budget: $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, or $3,000. Full detail is in Express to Live (Ruby-X and Platinum-X). Key differences from the standard tracks on this page:
