ONYX Futures is a futures-only firm. Every tradable instrument is an exchange-listed futures contract on CME, COMEX, NYMEX, or CBOT, plus the micro versions of those contracts. This instrument list and the commission rate are FIRM-WIDE and identical across both product families: the standard tracks (Sapphire/Ruby, Flex/Flex Funded, Gold/Platinum, and the coming-soon Diamond live stage) and Express to Live (Ruby-X and Platinum-X). Contract counting differs by family; see the tables below.

Micro Contracts and Contract Counting
A micro contract is one tenth the notional size of its standard contract (for example MES is 1/10 of ES). Micros and standards draw from ONE pooled contract limit on the same account. How they count toward that limit depends on the product family.
Family | Contract counting rule |
Standard tracks (Sapphire/Ruby, Flex/Flex Funded, Gold/Platinum) | 10 micro contracts = 1 standard contract. Micros and standards share one pooled limit. Pooled limit by balance size: 25K = 3 standard (30 micros); 50K = 5 (50); 100K = 8 (80); 150K = 10 (100); Gold-track 200K = 12 (120). |
Express to Live (Ruby-X, Platinum-X) | Limits are set in MINI and MICRO contracts per drawdown size, NOT via a flat 10-micros-equals-1 conversion. By size (drawdown): $1,000 = 1 mini / 10 micros; $1,500 = 1 mini / 15 micros; $2,000 = 2 mini / 20 micros; $3,000 = 3 mini / 30 micros. |
Commissions
Commissions are FIRM-WIDE and identical for every instrument and every account type in both families.
Item | Value |
Rate per contract, per side | $0.10 |
Rate per round turn (both sides) | $0.20 |
Rate source | Rithmic paper-trading rate |
Applies to | Every instrument, standard and micro; every account type in both families |
How applied | Deducted from account balance. Profit targets are measured NET of commissions and fees. |
Note: $0.10 per side and $0.20 per round turn are commission rates, not account/reset/activation prices.
Not Allowed
The following are prohibited on all accounts in both families. Trading any of them results in immediate account termination:
Stocks (equities)
Options
Spot forex
Cryptocurrencies
CFDs (contracts for difference)
Any instrument that is not an exchange-listed futures contract on CME, COMEX, NYMEX, or CBOT (or a micro version of one)
Do Not Conflate: Standard tracks vs Express to Live
This article's instrument list and commission rate are identical across both families. Only the contract-counting model differs.
Dimension | Standard tracks | Express to Live (Ruby-X, Platinum-X) |
Allowed instruments | Same firm-wide list (CME/COMEX/NYMEX/CBOT futures plus micros) | Same firm-wide list (CME/COMEX/NYMEX/CBOT futures plus micros) |
Commission rate | $0.10/side, $0.20 round turn | $0.10/side, $0.20 round turn (identical) |
Micro-to-standard conversion | Flat 10 micros = 1 standard contract | No flat conversion; limits set per drawdown size in mini/micro contracts |
Contract-limit basis | Balance size (25K/50K/100K/150K/200K), one pooled limit | Drawdown/risk-budget size ($1,000/$1,500/$2,000/$3,000) |
